For over 45 years, the deck of a BB Riverboat has been the best way to experience the rolling hills of Northern Kentucky and the spectacular skyline of Cincinnati from the mighty Ohio River. Sailing year-round, BB Riverboats offers enclosed, climate-controlled dining spaces and outdoor sightseeing spaces on its two Victorian-styled, paddlewheel vessels: the Belle of Cincinnati and the River Queen.
A recipient of ABA’s Best of the Best award multiple times, BB Riverboats has been catering to the motorcoach industry since its inception. “Motorcoach groups are an integral part of our business at BB Riverboats,” says owner Alan Bernstein, whose father started the family-owned and operated company in 1979. “Our policies are specially designed with this market in mind, and our sales team is the best in the business. They answer your calls and are typically on-site when your guests arrive.”

BB Riverboats is named after Ben Bernstein and Betty Blake, the two people who were instrumental in getting the business started. The Bernstein family still runs the boats today, with a nod to their restaurant beginnings and the belief that the food is as important as the views.

Larger groups can customize their BB Riverboats cruise to include dining packages, decor, and entertainment.

The Belle of Cincinnati is BB Riverboats’ flagship vessel with three climate-controlled decks and an open-air top deck that offers the greatest views for Cincinnati sightseeing.
From the moment the coach arrives and the friendly greeter welcomes groups into the wharf at Riverboat Row in Newport, Ky., the experience is warm and comfortable.
In addition to the stunning views, groups can enjoy stories of the river from the Riverlorian, Banjo Bob, who is a well-known icon on the Ohio River, or live music on an evening cruise. Midday cruises feature a historical commentary straight from the captain, whom guests can visit in the pilot house during
the cruise.
More than just your daily lunch, sightseeing, and dinner cruises, BB Riverboats offers a variety of specialty cruises that sets it apart. Single and multi-day trips are a perfect fit for groups. Options include special holiday cruises; a “Two-Boats/One-Day” itinerary with the Ark Encounter/Creation Museum; a three-day, two-night RIVER HOP to the Great Steamboat Race in Louisville, Ky.; or the all-day trip through the Meldahl Lock and Dam to the lovely and historic river city of Augusta, Ky.
In October of 2025, BB Riverboats will host a once-in-a-lifetime event on the Ohio River: America’s River Roots. Scheduled for Oct. 8–12, America’s River Roots has been designated an official kickoff event for America’s 250th celebration. Not only will BB Riverboats’ two vessels be front and center, but seven other riverboats will converge on the Cincinnati riverfront from as far north as St. Paul, Minn., to as far south as New Orleans and every inland waterway city in between. This event will celebrate the vibrant culture of America’s river cities and honor the incredible impact they have made on our nation and its people. The festival will also feature national and emerging musical acts, savory cuisine made famous from the participating cities, bourbon and beer tastings, and cultural attractions. Montgomery County’s prime location just outside of Philadelphia ensures easy accessibility for group travel; with its major highways and well-maintained roads, navigating the area is a breeze. Rich in history, culture, and scenic beauty, this diverse region promises an exceptional blend of attractions and amenities for groups of all ages and interests.

For groups interested in exploring America’s past, Valley Forge National Historical Park tells the story of the 1777–78 transformative winter encampment of George Washington’s Continental Army. Begin your tour at the Valley Forge Visitor Center, where artifacts and interactive exhibits bring this pivotal period of the Revolutionary War to life. Build your own log hut, view murals, shop for souvenirs in The Encampment Store, and more. Then, retrace the steps of the nation’s first president and the Continental Army on a guided bus or trolley tour of the 3,500-acre park. Stops include Washington’s Headquarters, reconstructed Muhlenberg’s Brigade huts, Artillery Park, and several other monuments and sites. While registration and park admission is free, Gebhard recommends giving at least 30 days’ notice of your motorcoach group’s arrival by registering at valleyforge.org/things-to-do/valley-forge-park/group-tours.

Valley Forge National Historical Park will celebrate its 50th anniversary on July 4, 2026. You’ll also want to mark your calendars for the 250th anniversary of the Valley Forge Encampment itself: December 2027–June 2028.
